Born in Turin, Carlo Alberto Acutis can boast prestigious acknowledgments and experiences, both in the Italian and in the foreign golf scenery. Carlo Alberto has taken part to seven European Championships as member of the Italian team and he has also been part of the team of the Miami University during his college in US, where he has completed his education with a Business Administration degree in 1983. His genuine passion for golf has inspired and oriented his whole education and professional career. In 1984 he turned pro, with several important acknoledgements, achieved both in the playing of golf and in teaching. And new challenges are still to come on his way. During his career he has held more than 300 clinics for golfers of all levels. He also trained several young athletes to professional career and has consolidated important collaborations with numerous golf magazines, dailies (La Gazzetta dello Sport) and business magazine (Class, Business People).

CAREER:

2015

The master attends as special guest the PGA seminar at Carves Valley, in Maryland (USA) and qualifies to take part to the PGA Seniors Championship, the “Major” tournament of European Senior Tour, in Newcastle-upon-Tyne, in UK.

Carlo Alberto Acutis attends a special class at the Quintic Biomechanics Lab, directed by Paul Hurrion, one of the world’s leading golf expert and also inventor of the Quintic Ball Roll system. And more: he participates to Wayne Defrancesco’s classes in Washington at the Lakewood country Club.

2014

Qualifies for the third time to play in the British Senior Open Championship, a “Major” tournament of European Senior Tour, at Royal Porthcawl, in Galles.

He opens up the new Blue team Golf Academy in Cherasco, Cuneo.

2013

He attends Edoardo Molinari’s seminar on the use of Trackman to detect and analyse ball flight and club shot.

Writes technical articles and bylined articles on “Business People” magazine.

2011

Qualified to play in the British Senior Open Championship, a “Major” tournament of European Senior Tour in UK.
Winner of Italian Double PGA four balls Championship. Qualified to play in PGA Championship of European Senior Tour.
For the third time, Senior Champion in the National Italian Open.

2010

For the second time Senior Champion in the National Italian Open (November, San Domenico Golf). With a round of 65, he equalizes the record of Golf Club Rapallo during Pro – Am “Vinca la vita”. Qualified 3rd at PGA Senior Championship at Golf Club Volturno. Admitted to participate to the British Senior Open, Carnoustie, in Scotland, thanks to a record 3rd place conquered during qualifications among 300 participants. 3rd place (72 – 67) at Qualifying School for the European Senior Tour (Portugal).

2009

Participates to a stage of a week at the prestigious golf school of Jim Mc Lean at Doral in Miami, Florida.
Attends a stage of putt at Harold Swash Putting School of Excellence, at Southport, England.
He has held more than 300 golf clinics in his career teaching players at every level from beginner to PGA professionals.
He collaborates with the magazine Golf Punk.

2008

Champion at national open in the category Senior (Golf Club Margara).

2007-2009

Teacher at the most exclusive “Versilia Golf Resort” during the Summer season.

2006

Attends a lecture co-organised by the Blue Team Golf Academy and by Italian PGA with the exceptional participation of Hank Haney (Tiger Woods’ teacher and BTGA supervisor).

He has been invited as speaker at the convention of Associazione Italiana Medici Ortopedici for a speech dedicated to the analysis of golf accidents.

He moves to Tolcinasco Golf & Country Club as the Blue Team Golf Academy opens up in the city with a brand new and highly innovative school.

He still collaborates with Club Med as Director of Golf Clinics.

On May 10th, he organises at Golf Club Castelconturbia, together with the Blue Team Golf Academy partners, the 1st Memorial for Roberto Rogato, charity tournament based on the pro-am formula in favour of AIRC, Associazione Italiana per la Ricerca sul Cancro.
The popular business magazine “Class” has acknowledged him as one of 20 best golf masters in Italy, also mentioning the Blue Team Golf Academy as one of the best golf schools in Italy.

1992

He joins the team of the federal trainers of the Under 21 National Team.
He attends the 2nd European Golf Teaching Conference with some of the world’s best teachers
In March, together with his partners, he organises a “Special Clinic” with the famous American master Hank Haney.
In October he organises a second exclusive clinic, once again with the exceptional participation of Mr. Haney.
